I’m “Gay”!

I have decided to publicly identify as “gay.” Since there is no scientific test that can definitively determine sexual orientation, I will embrace the legal protections and social clarity this label provides. If you dislike me because I identify as gay or think I don’t meet your criteria for being gay, feel free to let me know so I can disregard you henceforth.

From my perspective, there are no disadvantages to declaring myself gay. I cherish my wife of two decades, will continue our happy and monogamous marriage, and see no reason to disrupt our fulfilling relationship.

Additionally, I am the first to identify as “Christian-Jewish-Muslim,” challenging those who claim to be progressive. Note that I use “Jewish” rather than “Jew” to avoid derogatory implications and support the cause for a free Palestine.

Does this mean we are no longer friends?
